About, Vision & Mission

The American Islamic Caucus (AIC) is envisioned as a nonpartisan, nonprofit, non-governmental caucus, think tank, and global dialogue forum bringing together American Muslims and Muslim diaspora communities living in the United States.

AIC provides a platform for research, education, innovation, entrepreneurship, global dialogue, peacebuilding, interfaith understanding, community development, and international cooperation.

The Caucus recognizes the rich diversity of American Muslims, including U.S.-born Muslims, African American Muslims, immigrants, converts, students, academics, professionals, entrepreneurs, scientists, educators, and community leaders with roots in communities across the world.

AIC seeks to transform this diversity into a source of knowledge, innovation, cooperation, and positive global engagement.

A peaceful, innovative, inclusive, and interconnected world where American Muslims and Muslim diaspora communities contribute to humanity through knowledge, dialogue, science, education, entrepreneurship, and cooperation.

The mission of AIC is to connect American Muslims and Muslim diaspora communities with scholars, professionals, innovators, entrepreneurs, institutions, and international partners to:

• Promote global peace and peaceful coexistence;
• Encourage interfaith and intercultural dialogue;
• Advance research, science, technology, and innovation;
• Strengthen education and academic cooperation;
• Promote entrepreneurship and economic development;
• Support youth and professional leadership;
• Encourage community development and humanitarian cooperation;

Build bridges between American society and Muslim communities worldwide; and

Develop constructive ideas and partnerships addressing global challenges.

The American Islamic Caucus is designed as a forum for ideas, research, discussion, and collaboration, rather than a political party or governing organization.

AIC will encourage experts and communities to examine major issues affecting Muslims, Americans, and humanity as a whole.
